Central air conditioners are usually built with two separate components, the indoor unit and the outdoor unit.
The indoor unit is called a couple of different names depending on perspective, including the “evaporator” or “air handler” . While these two air conditioner components are different, they are usually housed in the same enclosure and referred to collectively.
The outdoor unit is also called the condenser unit, or the compressor unit. As with the indoor unit example above, there are multiple ways to refer to the equipment, for example, the compressor and condenser are really two separate components housed within the same enclosure.
Diagnosing an AC repair problem can be complex, or very simple. We charge the same diagnostic rate either way.
When the air conditioner works but the house doesn't get cool, the problem is likely to be found in the duct or duct distribution system and could be the result of a control problem, bad fan motor, or problems with the duct or a damper.
If the compressor doesn't come on, there may be a repair problem with the compressor itself, or possibly a control, thermostat, or other electronic problem.
If the compressor comes on, but either doesn’t get the home cool or freezes over, this can be a problem with the refrigerant levels indicating a possible leak that must be tracked down. We use sophisticated AC repair tools and air conditioning repair diagnostics to determine the problem and fix broken air conditioners quickly.
When our AC repair technician arrives, we will quickly figure out what the problem is, and immediately quote you a firm, complete price for fixing it. We can usually fix it right then and there.
